Queen Elizabeth national park is another hidden gem of Uganda also known as the most diverse national park in Eat Africa. You will experience wildlife during game drives and on the boat cruise trip at Kazinga channel known as the best destination to spot hippos in their largest numbers.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to your hotel
As you reach toward Entebbe International Airport, you catch your first glimpses of the lush Ugandan landscape below. Upon arrival, you’re greeted by the warm tropical air and the friendly faces of your local guide. Day 2: Morning transfer from Kampala to Bwindi
Rising with the sun, you embark on the first leg of your journey toward the legendary Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Along the way, you pause for a delicious lunch, savouring the flavours of local cuisine. You will have a stop over at the most famous Uganda equator a point where the equator crosses Uganda. Arriving in Bwindi, you’re struck by the sheer majesty of the forest-clad mountains rising in the distance. Settling into your lodge nestled amidst the lush vegetation, you can’t help but feel a sense of awe at the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park
This is the moment you’ve been waiting for, the chance to encounter mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. After breakfast, you gather with your fellow adventurers for a briefing from your guides. The trek is both exhilarating and challenging, but the moment you lay eyes on a family of gorillas peacefully going about their daily lives, all fatigue melts away. For one magical hour, you’re immersed in their world, observing their behaviours and marvelling at their sheer strength and grace.
After lunch, head for a cultural experience where you will visit the Batwa community. Learn more as you get entertained by the traditional dances, taste local meals, witness local firemaking and more. You will then return to your lodge and overnight.
Day 4: Drive from Bwindi National park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you embark on the next leg of your journey, bound for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes you through diverse landscapes, from mist-shrouded mountains to vast savannah plains. Along the way, you pass through bustling towns and encounter friendly locals going about their daily routines.
After settling into your accommodations, you set out on an afternoon/evening game drive, eagerly scanning the horizon for signs of wildlife. As the sun begins to set, you return to camp, reflecting on the day’s adventures under the star-studded African sky.
Day 5: Full day in Queen Elizabeth National Park with game drive and boat cruise
You will have your quick coffee and head to the wilderness for game drive with parked breakfast. You will discover countless gems of Queen Elizabeth National Park on land like buffaloes, elephants and big cats like lion and Leopard on a lucky day. You will later return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will get ready for boat cruise on Kazinga channel the home of hippos, crocodiles and colourful birds.
Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer to Entebbe
You will have your breakfast and then checkout from your lodge. Get ready for another game drive that allows you to view the wildlife that you might have missed previously. You will then exit the park and get on the road to Kampala. You will have a lunch stop over in Mbaarara or Masaka depending on your timing and then proceed to Entebbe for your flight.
