Nyundo Community Eco Trails
Nyundo Community Eco Trail: Residents of Nyundo witnessed climate change firsthand. Although they had observed changes in the rain pattern, soil erosion, and forest mist, the locals continued to cultivate on the steep hillside of the impenetrable forest of Bwindi. The plants started to deteriorate.
In reaction to this, the Nyundo community created a project to save the area. Since the Nyundo community made the decision to preserve the land and let the forest flourish, the trees have grown back and the mist has returned to Nyundo.
