Mubare Gorilla Family Group
The Mubare Gorilla Family Group is an interesting group to meet.
located in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest‘s Buhoma area.
The oldest habituated gorilla family in Uganda is the Mubare, often referred to as the Mubale or M Group.
In fact, this Mubare Mountain Gorilla Group was the first to settle in Uganda. Uganda Wildlife Authority The habituation phase, which indicates that they are used to interacting with people, began in 1991. After around two years of this procedure, they began to receive tourists in 1993.
The stunning Mubare Hills, where the group was first seen, inspired the group’s name. The Mubare family had eighteen gorillas, but due to some of them transferring to other groups, deaths in fights, and the death of a youngster in 2009, there are now only five. Despite this, the gorilla safaris in this group are really cute.
The Buhoma section of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to this delightful group that is well worth a visit.
