Do gorillas live in Africa?

The mountain gorillas inhabit the mountainous regions of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Only 880 mountain gorillas remain in the wild, the majority of which are lowland species, according to research records.

There are 25,000 eastern lowland gorillas in the wild.
Every year, human activities such as poaching, deforestation, cultivation, and human settlement cause the number of gorillas to decline.Because there aren’t many gorillas left in the wild, people are urged to rescue them.
