Cycling Tours in Uganda, Bwindi Biking Safari.
Take a mountain bike ride in Bwindi with Nature + Village Mountain Bicycles Guided Rides at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to help the Ride 4 a Woman organization and the nearby community. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest or take a bike ride around the hamlet.
Visitors may enjoy a range of bicycle rides in the forest and within the local community at Buhoma thanks to a brand-new activity offered by the Ride 4 a Woman Organization. The local community is directly supported by those who take part in such activities. A women’s organization oversees the mountain bike ride operations in Bwindi, providing qualified guides, a bike repair shop, and direct compensation to all program participants from tourists who love riding the bikes in Buhoma.
Take a Mountain Biking Adventure on Four Woman Trails
The trip 4 a Woman Forest Trail is a three-hour guided cycling trip through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest that focuses on birdwatching or simply taking in the beauty of this ancient forest.
A bike ride to the River Ivy and back, where you can view a variety of animals, including squirrels, duikers, monkeys, and maybe chimpanzees or, if you’re lucky, mountain gorillas.
All of the guides have had extensive training in spotting details that tourists would otherwise overlook. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest provides the perfect environment for biking, whether one is an experienced or inexperienced rider. Because Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of the highest locations in Uganda, keep in mind that altitude plays a role in this situation.
Bring lots of drinking water and a food to consume during the forest’s pauses.
Ride 4 a Woman — Village Bike Ride: this two-hour option follows the same path as the village walk, but you’ll be riding a mountain bike. Luckily, there isn’t much traffic; you and the Buhoma residents are the only ones there.
Visitors will see and learn things they were unaware of while on this bike journey, which also teaches them about the lifestyles of the Batwa and Bagika people.
Explore the fascinating craft center, the gin distillery, the banana brewery, the traditional medicinal healer with his various medicines gathered from the forest, Mukono Primary School, the river to watch women washing their clothes, the abundance of butterflies on the nearby rock, and most importantly, the Batwa-Pygmy community. All of this can be done while riding a mountain bike with a private guide who can answer any questions and show out the many features of the area.
