Booking for Gorilla Trekking
Booking for Gorilla Trekking

Booking for Gorilla Trekking.

There are several processes and procedures involved in making a reservation for gorilla trekking. Three months before to your trip, get in touch with a reputable tour operator who is also a member of the Association of Uganda Tour Operators. The operator will go to reserve your permits at the Kampala offices of the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Depending on your financial situation, you can reserve three months, a year, or even two years. A 30% deposit is required, and the remaining amount must be paid within the ninety-one days before to departure. A 70% late payment deposit is not accepted; nonetheless, a 20% surcharge is lost without reimbursement.

The tour operator is only permitted to reserve 20 gorilla permits per day, and 80% of permits can be reserved up to two years in advance.

Bookings for gorilla trekking can be made as little as three months in advance. There is no cap on how many tour operators may purchase permits, and they are not offered for sale on the day of booking.

Cancellation and refund

Only in cases when the visitor is unable to trek due to illness after the park warden has advised them not to travel with the mountain gorillas does the Uganda Wildlife Authority issue a 50% refund.

If visitors choose to walk in Mgahinga and are unable to track the mountain gorillas because they have moved into neighboring Rwanda, they will be eligible for a refund of their permit. A 70% reimbursement is given to individuals who are unable to trek the gorillas for the entire day; this reimbursement is picked up at the Uganda Wildlife Headquarters in Kampala.Booking for Gorilla Trekking
