Bitukura Gorilla Group
Welcome to the Bitukura Gorilla Group visitation guide for Ugandan gorilla trekking.
The Bitukura Group is located in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest’s Buhoma district.
One of the more recent gorilla families to get used to the growing number of Uganda safari visitors visiting Bwindi is the Bitukura Group.
In the Ruhija section of this park, in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, lies the Bitukura Gorilla Group, a relatively recent habituated group. With four silverbacks and Ndahura, the second youngest, as the leader, the group is intriguing.
Two blackbacks from this group travel with the silverbacks, with the exception of the dominant male. An relationship between Mugisha and Obia, both blackbacks, and Rukara and Rukumu, both silverbacks, is more noticeable while the larger males are fighting.
