Ten facts about mountain gorillas: Three African countries—Uganda, Congo, and Rwanda—are home to mountain gorillas.
Humans and mountain gorillas have 98% of the same DNA. They are wild apes that live in the Virugas, the center region of the Virunga Volcanoes, the northwest Rwandan volcanoes, the south-western region of Mgahinga, and a separate national park called “Bwindi National Park” in the southwest of Uganda.
