Mountain gorilla trekking prices 2024 : A gorilla trekking permit is a legal document that allows you to trek gorillas in their natural habitat. The mountain gorilla trekking permits are always given to persons wishing to trek the gorillas in any of the different countries, Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic republic of Congo.

Mountain gorilla trekking is usually a whole day experience between 6 to 8 hours especially in Uganda because of the long trekking trails. So you when you are planning your itinerary for your entire safari, make sure that you clear out the trekking day with no other top up activity.
When you are gorilla trekking in uganda brace yourself for a long drive to the park about 9 to 10 hours from the capital to the park. The other long drive is the one between Goma and Virunga but fairly shorter than Kampala to Bwindi National Park or Mgahinga National Park. The only shortest drive to a gorilla park is the one from Kigali to the Volcanoes National Park that is about 2 to 3 hours. The drive from Kigali to Bwindi National park and Mgahinga National park is also abit short 4 to 6 hours max.
