With 98 percent of their DNA, mountain gorillas are an endangered species that inhabits dense bamboo forests in tropical rain forests.
Mgahinga is situated near the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwest Uganda. Traveling to Mgahinga National Park to see the Nyakagezi gorilla family will provide you with an amazing experience of the undulating hills and much more.
Concerning the Gorilla Family of Nyakagezi
at contrast to other national parks, 80 mountain gorillas are preserved at Mgahinga National Park. Additionally, this group of migrants barely numbers 10. They go to Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The gang went back to the park in 2012 and set up shop. There are three silverbacks and 10 members. With the birth of a new child in May 2013, the group’s membership grew to eleven. The Nyakagezi gorilla family is led and protected by a silverback called Mark.
The Uganda Wildlife Authority’s park headquarters in Uganda is the only place to receive gorilla permits for the Nyakagezi Gorilla Family due to their frequent movements. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, see the gorilla family.
Spending an hour with the gorilla family allows one to see their everyday activities in the wild, including playing, grooming, showing off their nests, and many other activities that everyone would want to share with their human relatives.
